Automata

Constructed servants of the Damarian faction, automata are as precise as they are relentless. Wherever Damarian influence is found, these enchanted machines are never far behind.

Unlike living guards, automata do not tire, do not eat, and do not falter. Once given purpose, they carry it out indefinitely standing watch over ruins, patrolling silent halls, or enforcing the will of their creators without question.

Their magic is not infinite, however. Each automaton must have its enchantments periodically renewed to remain functional a service the Damarians are more than willing to provide, for a price.

The party has most frequently encountered these constructs within the fallen Damarian Academy, where many still continue their duties long after their masters have vanished.

Arcane Ballista

A stationary construct designed for siege and defense, the arcane ballista channels destructive energy through a fixed firing mechanism. Once deployed, it remains locked in place, annihilating anything that enters its line of sight.

Iron Cobra

A serpentine automaton built for speed and precision. The iron cobra strikes with sudden, mechanical efficiency, often used to patrol confined spaces or eliminate intruders before they can react.

Iron Blade Automaton

A heavily armed construct outfitted with integrated blades and rotating weaponry. Designed for close combat, these automatons excel at overwhelming enemies with relentless, whirring assaults.

Trash Hulk

A crude but effective construct assembled from scrap and discarded materials. While less refined than other Damarian creations, trash hulks are durable, unpredictable, and surprisingly dangerous in close quarters.

Hammerer Automaton

A brute-force construct built for impact and demolition. Hammerers are often deployed where precision is unnecessary, smashing through obstacles and enemies with heavy, methodical strikes.

Field Notes

All known automata encountered by the party have originated from Damarian constructs, most notably within the ruins of their fallen academy.
