Pronounced “Bear ooon On Ya”, The Baranoya trees are a unique marvel found within the Daelen Wood, distinguished by their immense size and faint, multihued specks of softly glowing sap along their bark. They are slightly larger than the surrounding forest giants and emit a subtle prismatic radiance, though the light never seems to extend beyond the trees themselves.
These trees are the source of Baranoya Sap, a substance carefully cultivated by the Vael’en and occasionally traded beyond the forest. While its exact properties are not widely understood, it is known to be used by some wizards as a magical component, valued for its unusual origin.
Baranoya trees are not common, appearing either in small clusters or as isolated individuals throughout the Daelen Wood. Despite their rarity, little is publicly known about how or why they form, and the Vael’en are not known to speak openly on the matter.
