Description
You inscribe a circle on the ground, a circle emblazoned with arcane symbols of binding. Creation of this zone takes one hour plus one minute per square of the circle (and it must be a circle), and 100 gp of arcane components per square within the circle. If drawn correctly, these symbols create a dueling circle zone. Disrupting the circle requires a standard action per square, and cannot be performed while the circle is active or primed. Disrupted squares must be restored, taking one minute per square, and repaying the 100gp of components again.
A creature within the circle may spend two healing surges and a standard action to declare a challenge against one or more creatures outside the circle, along with conditions for victory. This primes the dueling circle. While primed, the circle illuminates to warn all it is primed. The circle remains primed until the challenger leaves the circle, or the challenged enters. Should the challenged enter the circle, whether they know of the challenge or not, the dueling circle activates.
Once active, the circle erects a spherical conjuration that blocks line of effect (but not line of sight), movement into the circle by any who are not challenged, and movement out of the circle by those who are challenged. If any non challengers are within the circle when it activates, they are pushed out from the circle via the shortest path possible. The duel zone lasts until victory conditions are met, or both challengers agree to forfeit. Entering the dying state counts as forfeit. The circle then becomes inert, ready for the next challenge.
