Golems

Golems are beings of magic and matter, formed when raw materials are bound and animated through powerful enchantment. Unlike Automata, they are not constructed as tools or servants, but created as singular entities; each one shaped by the magic that sustains it.

Where Automata rely on maintained enchantments, golems are defined by the strength of the magic that brought them into being. They do not tire, question, or deviate, acting only in accordance with the will, or the remnants of will, that animates them.

Some believe golems to be the origin of Damarian Automata, early experiments refined into more controlled and replicable constructs.

Scale Golem

A creature formed from layered scales bound together by powerful magic, the scale golem is both durable and relentless. Its body shifts and grinds as it moves, each piece held in place by unseen force.

The one encountered by the party stood as a formidable guardian, far more resilient than the constructs surrounding it.
