Kobolds
Kobolds are small, cunning creatures infamous for their use of traps and ambush tactics. Individually weak and fragile, they rely almost entirely on preparation, positioning, and overwhelming advantage.
They favor confined spaces, tunnels, caves, and warrens, where they can shape the environment to their liking. Within these domains, kobolds are rarely encountered without layers of hidden dangers designed to wear down, isolate, and eliminate intruders.
Kobolds often operate under the influence of stronger powers, most commonly Dragons, whom they revere and serve with near-religious devotion. In the absence of such masters, they may fall under the control of larger or more dominant forces, but rarely willingly.
Common Roles
Kobold Slink

Skulking and evasive, slinks specialize in harassment and misdirection. They dart in and out of cover, drawing attention away from more dangerous threats, or toward hidden traps waiting to be sprung.
Observations
Kobolds are rarely dangerous on their own. Their true threat lies in preparation.
A kobold warren is not simply inhabited, it is engineered. Every tunnel, corner, and passage may conceal traps designed to slow, separate, or outright kill intruders.
Those who underestimate kobolds often do not survive long enough to correct that mistake.
