Ten thousand years ago, the Feywild of Zerith was not as it is now. The eladrin were wild, powerful, and unbound—creatures of magic and instinct, but without unity or purpose. That changed with the arrival of two figures from beyond the realm: Oberon and Titania. They came from Avalon, a place said to exist outside the constraints of time and world, touching many realities at once. In their wake, they brought order to the Feywild—shaping the chaotic eladrin into a true society, establishing courts, and forging a connection to Corellon, the divine source of elvenkind.
When Oberon and Titania departed, they did not leave the Feywild leaderless. Instead, they elevated the first sovereigns—beings of immense power and presence—to form what would become known as the First Crown of the Faerie Court. From this ruling body, the seasonal realms were brought into dominion, each guided by its own monarch yet bound to the authority of the Crown. Over time, lesser courts emerged beneath them—some tied to season, others to stranger purposes—forming a vast and intricate web of power that stretches across the Feywild.
Though several courts now exist, each steeped in intrigue, ambition, and shifting alliances, none openly challenge the First Crown. Rivalries are constant, and influence is endlessly contested, but the Crown remains untouched—its authority ancient, absolute, and universally acknowledged. Whether out of reverence, fear, or something older still, the courts of the Feywild do not seek to overthrow it. They seek only to rise beneath it.
There are 29 sub-courts that rule over the nobles of the Feywild. Some are small, while some are cross realm barriers.
