Esmen was born in the desert lands near Porin. The wild elf tribe she was born to lived and roamed the desert. Frequently trading with Porin, the young of the tribe would tag along. On one such trip, Esmen went missing. It was not uncommon for the younglings to wander off, choosing to live within the city, and the way of the tribe allowed them to leave, so no one looked for her.
Sadly for the young elf, she was taken by a local trade shop, and put to work. Some years later, the factory was raided, and the children set free, but with no real skill sets, had little to do besides whatever menial tasks they could get, or sign up for work at the local brothels. Esmen shied away from the less savory work, getting a job working within one of the noble houses. She worked hard, gaining notice of the nobles who owned the estate. The notice was a double edged sword, as the started looking into her past. After discovering her background, they decided she needed a more dignified origin, creating an alias for her, Esmen Drusilla Alwen Tyranis, Elven daughter of such and such tribe. While still working as a servant, she was granted good pay, and steady promotion until she ran the household.
The day Lady Arabelle Veyrienne came to visit while touring the world, it was love at first sight. Arabelle did not care about her station, background, or false identity. They quickly married, and departed Porin. Esmen was no longer a servant, she was an equal, and knew it would never change again.
