Princess Petra Pruz Kahoki was born into the royal tribe of the Elves of the Daelen Wood. In the elven tribes of the wood, the station you were born to and your calling in life determined your path, much as did the bridges within it’s treetop city. the paths were linear, and once resigned to a path, that would be your life.

Pruz (Pronounced like Prooz, don’t call her Pr-uh-z, it miffs her) was on the royal path to be matriarch some day. She hated the path, and did all she could to avoid it. She tried the path of the craftswoman, path of the archer, path of the fey-warden, and path of the wood-watcher, and none would speak to her. Without an alternative, she tried performing the lower duties of the path of the merchant, traversing the Daelen Wood carrying food and supplies from the city of Westbrook to the mountain strongholds and White-Lotus academy, but she always felt a calling for something… more. When the ambassador for the elves took ill, she petitioned immediately to the path of the Diplomat. She managed to journey out of the wood, through the 3 eastern cities.

On one of her trips to Easthaven, she met a human, who upon hearing of her origin and title, said a great Wizard, Zanzer Tem, would wish to speak to her, and possibly set up trade. She took a caravan west, through the Dragonspine Mountains, and met with the wizard at the city of Korad-Tir. She arranged trade treaties with him for his salt mines, in exchange for Baranonya Sap , a rare substance only available from the trees in her wood. Trade prospered for several years, the caravans meeting in the bazar of Korad-Tir to make exchanges.

When the troubling news of brewing war came, Pruz and the Elders of the tribe agreed that while the war would likely not affect them, they should seek a wizards protection to aid in their defenses, and decided that Tem would be a good place to start, given their positive relationship with him. Pruz set out to meet with him at once. She journeyed to Korad-Tir, then headed north with his trade caravan as they returned home. The last thing she remembered was partaking in a supper while awaiting Tem’s return from some business he was away on. When she awoke next, she was in a stone room, with some adventurer’s standing over her. They had been prisoners, and were making their escape, and she was welcome to join them. She followed, dazed, and unsure. When they reached a treasure room, with many a magic item and a crystal ball in the middle of the room, the party slept. While they rested, she peered into the ball, wondering where her path would take her next. In the sphere she saw herself, not a victim, not a diplomat, not a queen. She was bathed in holy radiance, her foes of darkness defeated around her. She finally found her calling, the Path of Light.

She believes in the power of positivity and that all things that aren’t inherently evil can be talked to and convinced that there is a way to light and positivity.
While her beliefs say that perfection is something to strive for Petra has learned through many let downs in her life that perfection is a fluid concept.
