The Landiss Wizards are a faction not dedicated to a specific school of magic, but to protecting the world from those who use it. Spells go awry, creatures escape bonds, control is lost… and people die. In a world so steeped in magic, a defensive force to protect the general populous is important. Spellcasters from all of the other factions can be found within it’s ranks, almost always by choice, though occasionally through assignment or servitude. While initially that sounds harsh, some wizards are required to join and serve the Landiss as penance for damages they cause in the world.
The Landiss wizards do not swear fealty to any one kingdom, city, or region. Their Headquarters are in the Central City of Korad-Tir, with the back of the building up against the mountain range itself. Only members are allowed in the back, so no one knows how deep it’s halls go.

Ruled by a council of mages, the decisions of these arbiters are considered final, and as they police each other, while keeping a steady hand on society’s laws being adhered to, they are treated with great respect within all civilized locations. Stories of abuse of those powers are non-existent, and they are rarely even seen in public, though their presence is felt, and their laws enforced.
